SHINYRIBS

SHINYRIBS + LINCOLN DURHAM
Saturday, February 11
9pm-1am
$5.00
Led by Kevin Russell from The Gourds, SHINYRIBS are similarly styled purveyors of a gloriously raggedy-ass honky tonk country mess. But don't be fooled by the hick, heck an' holler approach, there's suss, style, craft an' guile aplenty too - as smartly evidenced on their damnably fine album "Well After Awhile". Tonight, come git y'self some beard an' booze fired fonky good times. Rollockin' an' a rollin' cool an' scratchy country pzazz this good is rare indeed. PLUS, opening we have the great LINCOLN DURHAM launching his excellent new album "The Shovel vs The Howling Bones". Produced by Ray Wylie Hubbard and George Reiff, it is a haunting and masterly work of plangently realized gritty, gruff and gravelly bare-bones rock. It's a helluva thing. Helluva thing.
